Wow!

It's been a whirlwind since the letters went out to begin the fundraising project. Between my finals, Sage's cold, and a trip to California, we've still managed some amazing things.

While visiting good friends in Northern California, someone started an inpromptu collection, and by the end of the weekend we had over $1200! These same wonderful people also gave me great suggestions for other ways to collect the money we need, and sent lots of positive energy our way.

I've gotten some really fun letters from some of the companies I wrote to that make Sage's favorite products. Our favorite grocery store sent a check, and several other companies have sent us over $100 worth of merchandise that we plan on using for a raffle.

Most recently, we shared booth space at Sage's elementary school craft fair. We sold homemade dog biscuits and collected donations. This project took a lot of time and didn't collect as much money as some of our other projects, but it was our first chance at getting the word out to the families at Sage's school. It was also good practice for my plan for next weekend... to sell doggie treats at that great pet supply store where we've been given permission to do fundraising.
